Another great job from Canada's best reporter. I truly hope Israelis can one day live confidently in safety and peace.

Thank you to Adam Zivo and to The Line for putting this first person account out there.

Reality, however uncomfortable and unfamiliar to western eyes, is certainly welcome in this age of rampant propagandized AI-aided slop.

Yet another reason of many that ensures my subscription will continue.

It's ironic. Israel wants regime change in Iran, but needs one at home just as badly. Their safety will not come through bombs. It never has.

Israel has a democratically elected government, free and fair elections and the rule of law.

Using the term “regime” to describe such a government is akin to using terms like “free”, “tolerant” or “democratic” to describe Iran. It’s simply an inversion of language.

HAHAHAHAHAHAA. I am so sad for you. Netanyahu is wildly horrible. He is as corrupt as all hell and you think he is keeping you safe?

The US did until 2024 as well...sort of. Israel also chose to elect a criminal and is experiencing the consequences. Things change fast.....

Using the standards in your comparison, I guess we need one in Canada as well.

Because our leader has been charged with what crimes? Initiated what wars? And we still don't know what he knew before October 7. I would suggest there is nothing to compare between them.

I think Iran had prepared for a long war with the USA/Israel. I hope it's not true, but what I've read is they have stockpiled a lot of ammunition, rockets, bombs, etc. Plus they don't care how many civilian Iranians or their leaders die. for their cause. Time will tell. Lots of innocent Iranians may die. The war may escalate more than it has by dragging western country military into supporting the USA. Trump and his unqualified experts may be in over their heads.

I would prefer to see some honest reporting about what is going on in the West Bank and how so many "settlers" are getting away with murder.

Yeah sorry, the dead and displaced of south Lebanon, the dead of Gaza all have my sympathy. You'll have to excuse me if I really am feeling not a lot of sadness right now for a couple of bombs going off in tel aviv when I am watching the IDF pummel civilian areas in lebanon and murder people on beaches calling them terrorists (and watching people in the west lap it up like truth). Maybe I don't buy it because I am Lebanese and I know how horrendous Hizbullah is and how equally garbage the IDF are.

In addition, the west and its lopsided reporting on all things middle east no longer evoke any empathy from me when I have access to satellite. That's right, not tik tok Satellite news.... where I am watching the disgusting behaviour of the IDF in real time.
