We’re going to share this cartoon (with permission) by Lyle Krahn. He can draw. We can’t. But we did give him this idea, and he followed through on it. So thanks Krahn!

Hello, Line readers. Sorry we are a little behind the 8-ball today. One of your editors was travelling — more on that in a bit; the other one was completing the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. Which, as an aside, The Line really strongly recommends, even for individuals who do not own and have no plan of owning a firearm. Understanding how guns work, and how to safely disarm or shoot one, is a basic life skill. Up there with knowing safe knife and food handling.

Further, the course offers a good insight into Canadian firearms acquisition and safe storage laws, which are generally not well understood outside the firearms-owning community. We really wish all journalists made a habit of taking the course, simply to have a better understanding of legal weapons and the laws surrounding their ownership.

But, alas…

We recorded our dispatch a day earlier than normal to accommodate travel schedules, but we hope you enjoy nonetheless.

Please enjoy our latest video, and as always, like, share, subscribe, etc. It helps!

If you would prefer the audio version, you can find it on our main page here. We are also now searchable where all fine audio podcasts are distributed, including Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. We’re also very gratified to see many positive reviews on these platforms: you like us! You really like us! (At least until the tankies find us and review-bomb, but that day has not yet come…) Liking, subscribing, and leaving a comment really does help us to juice those algos, and grow The Line, so please do!

And now, as always, on with the dispatch.
