Dispatch From the Front Line: Politicians gonna politic - and screw the cottagers
The budget. A ruined lunch in Montreal. Exasperated advice for the G-G and her guests. And a measure of relief from the Middle East
Hello Line readers, and a special hello and thank you to those of you who joined us for our first live taping of The Line Podcast in Calgary on Friday. (And a special thanks to our sponsor for that event DS Lawyers/DS Avocats. Also to friend of The Line Ken Boessenkool for covering Matt's flight.)
The night was a total success. We sold out The Plaza — or at least as many seats as The Plaza was allowed to release and stay in good graces with their liquor license — and we think you all had a good time. At least that’s what you all told us.
Clearly, there is an audience for this sort of thing, so expect Matt and I to repeat the experiment in other cities soon. We also have an event to announce in Edmonton very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
As for the podcast, the live-ness of the taping meant that it’s taking us a little longer to get the episode live today. We expect to have it up in short order, for those of you keen to hear Gerson and Gurney spout off on the budget, Israel’s strikes in Iran, the role of the governor general, and why Gerson wants to taxidermy a cat.
But for all that, and more, paid subscribers — the best subscribers, can click through to the link below for our much-beloved weekly dispatch.
And for those who just must have some Line podcast content right now, enjoy our latest episode of On The Line, either at the YouTube link below or through any of the podcast streaming apps we know you’ve already followed us on while leaving a glowing review. Right?!
