Dispatch from the Front Lines: When the Liberals ban guns in the forest ...
... no one cares, because no one takes them seriously anymore.
Hello, Line readers. What a weekend! We hope you’re having a great one. We’re going to throw ourselves into a pretty meaty dispatch but first, just a quick housekeeping note.
We are well into December now, and The Line is preparing to take a bit of time off. We are going to have plenty of great content to keep you occupied over the holidays, including a return of a feature we had a lot of fun with last year — a series of articles about things for which we’re grateful. A lot of what we have to cover here is bleak, so we like to end one year and start another on a more positive note. We will also release podcasts on a regular schedule, but we may record at least one episode in advance so that we can spend some uninterrupted time with our families. We will probably put out a special edition of our usual weekend dispatch, but may not keep up the regular schedule on that one. Though we will, of course, return, rested and refreshed and with huge credit-card bills to pay, in January.
We’re planning some big and exciting things in 2025 (including paying off those bills) and we’ll have more to say about all that soon. For now, we just wanted to take a minute to let you all know that we’ll take some time off this year, but we won’t leave you hanging for content. And, for a change, it might be stuff that you feel better after reading!
Speaking of content, enjoy our latest episode of The Line Podcast!

And now, on with the dispatch.
