Matt Gurney: A timeline of the Liberals not giving a shit about foreign interference
I've gone back and reread the coverage. What I never saw in the federal response was a sense of urgency. Just a lot of deflections and evasion.

With all that's happened these last two weeks, it struck me that readers of The Line might benefit from a recapping of what we've seen so far from the government on the foreign interference front. Not the entirety of the issue, which is big, complex and still only vaguely understood. But going over the government's response to what's happened seemed a manageable task.
So I did that. And find myself aghast at the utter dereliction of duty. It’s not that we didn’t know all this. But when you actually review it all in one go, it’s impossible to reach any other conclusion other than that we, as a country, are in deep trouble, and that our government is basically fine with that.
