The woke are intolerant arbiters, and it pains me to see the sway they hold in the media, in the academy, and in politics, all institutions that thrive when free of the shackles of groupthink. How much longer can these woke thugs hold this sway?

Thoughtful article.

I may not be the best-equipped person to ask about this (and if I am, tell me and I'll remove this comment) but as a POC do you run the risk of being called a traitor, a sellout, suffering from internal racism/colonialism or something along the lines of 'Uncle Tom' for daring to have a different opinion that some of the woke left activists?

I can't help but think that's a way for some activists in minority communities to punish members of their own groups who step 'out of line' by accusing them of dishonouring their heritages and roots.

Hi Jared, I am confident in my own track record of being an advocate for the sovereignty and rights of my Coast Salish Cowichan people for most of my adult life... I founded a currency based on the traditional economics of my ancestors (www.tetla.org) and I strive on a daily basis to learn my language "Hul'qumi'num". I was a 60s scoop baby, and came home to my community 24 years ago and went right to work on efforts to make my community stronger, more accountable and more free. I'm lucky in that I have Coast Salish relatives who love me and will support me, no matter who says something ugly, or would, as you suggest try to take retribution for my betrayal of CRT. That being said -- I expect some backlash. But I feel it's important to speak out against this mind-virus/cult that seems to be taking over society. I've been watching it's pernicious influence grow for many years now, and I've been growing more and more alarmed by it. Thanks for your comment and feedback.
