It's exhausting how Canadians always tend to give government and authority figures the benefit of the doubt, especially if they come from the left.

These folks don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. They need to prove that they can actually execute without a multi decade 10x budget overrun nonsense.

Mark Carney must be privately shaking his head in disbelief at how easy it is to placate and manipulate Canadians. Just get up and say things that you are "going" to do and they treat it like you've actually done it!

Remarkable how an even slightly clever man can rule over us dimwit rubes like a galaxy-brained god. Just put "how do I take over and totally dominate the Canadian government using government levers of power that are technically not illegal" into ChatGPT and do those things - hey you can appoint opposition MP's to the Senate to thin their numbers, who knew? - and nobody can stop you!

Canadians have never had a reputation unfortunately as a clever people.

We believe authority figures to a degree any other multicultural society thinks is laughable. Peasants.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. When will we ever learn?

1955 a pipeline was proposed to send oil East, for Canada. The answer from the Feds was “What? So the oil barons could buy new Cadillacs?” I call it a bullshit saying, from the Bible I think,Forgive and Forget. I don’t forget. Dis me once, jokes on me. Dis me twice,I’m the fool. Please stop pretending everyone that oil is going to Churchill. Give your heads a shake.

They spent a lot of thought on best policies to reduce CO2. A lot of thought. They completely ignore the fact that CO2 is not a problem. Spending 200 Billions dollars for no gain is a problem. Even Freeland said all the financial drain "would not move the needle" on Global Warming. So the question isn't about the most effective policy to achieve lower Carbon emissions... The question is - why harm ourselves for a useless project?

That feels like a lot of teenage snark for nothing said.

I'm kind of choked that with all this pipeline news the last few days, when I try to look for Leach roasting people on Twitter I keep getting errors and no payoff.
