A short announcement from your friendly neighbourhood Line editors. Some of you will recall that we’ve been talking about getting On The Line, our second podcast offering, started for some time. For some time! We ran a successful four-episode proof-of-concept last year, but getting from there to a weekly product ended up being a more complicated process than we’d hoped. To be honest, I’ve spent a fair share of my last six months working on it. It’s often felt like beating my head against a concrete post.
But! The wait is over. Coming up next week — on Tuesday, February the 4th, 2025, specifically — On The Line will air its first regular episode. On The Line is going to feature me or Jen Gerson, and perhaps others in the broader Line family, as well, in long-form conversation with experts, newsmakers, stakeholders and, from time to time, simply some fun and interesting people. It’ll still be cheeky and irreverent — that’s what we aim for here — but it’ll also be a bit more focused on reporting and journalism than what you get with your weekly dose of The Line Podcast.
And those doses will continue! The Line Podcast will continue to release new episodes every Friday. On The Line will release new episodes on Tuesdays. We can’t wait to bring this new project to you, and we’ve got a long list of targets for interviews that we must now begin haranguing. Politely, of course.
What do you need to do? Why, like and subscribe, of course — as always! But to ensure you never miss an episode, make sure you’ve subscribed to us on your podcasting platform of choice. The big ones, of course, are YouTube, Apple and Spotify, but there are a bunch of others we are on as well, and you can find them all here. The episodes will also be hosted at ReadTheLine.ca,, and distributed through our normal channels here.
We are very excited to bring you this new offering, and to continue expanding the value The Line provides. We hope you’ll enjoy it, and thank you, as always, for your support.
Stay tuned!
