I don't think anyone will be surprised if attendance at these games is very low. Given that the US is turning people back at the border for incorrect thoughts let alone kidnapping people off the streets I think attendance will be much higher in Canada and Mexico. Also, good luck with the Olympics, USA, if you keep up this madness.

FIFA and Trump deserve each other, money grubbing old men. Have at it, cause I just do not care!

With a little luck, and the release of the Epstein files, he'll have been impeached before it starts. You couldn't pay me to visit the US right now, and I'm white.

I think Trump will want to bask in publicity and popularity of the World Cup.....and I don't think international Football fans will stay away from US.....fans still went to the WC in chaotic South Africa and to the dry WC in Qatar....

A sketchy as those other locations can be fans weren't risking disappearing into a gulag.

Why do I feel like I just read an article on CNN? Worst part is I paid for it.

Hosting the final at Mar-A - Largo, then charging every player a fee. Host the G20 there next week, then sending everyone a bill. Sure wish Carney had the balls to just ‘Skip It’.

The problem I have with this situation is that international fans will likely avoid matches held in US in favour of those held in Canada and Mexico - driving up the resale ticket prices. These tickets are priced at two months of Toronto rent (at the lower end) right now. Soon they may be priced at half an annual median Toronto salary.

That might mean there's some real bargains to be had at the American games. That is, of course, if you're willing to run the gauntlet.
