I read Jen’s article this morning and just listened to The Line, very well done. You both have once again restored a bit of faith in media. You both showed journalistic integrity along with human empathy. The fact that people took precedence over “a scoop” speaks volumes to the class you and your organization have. Well done and keep it up..

Thank you for this interview with Jen.

The Government of Alberta has clearly dropped the ball on this one; I do not believe for a minute that Elections Alberta did this without some input from the Premier's office.

Obviously, I cannot prove that (how could I?).

Nonetheless, this whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Congrats on the scoop and on the legacy media attention which I hope sends more curious folks over here. Once more appreciating your integrity.

This probably hurts the separatist movement in Alberta no doubt.

Good. They are still so amateur hour it's crazy.

They think their level for amateur "half assery" is "grassroots" and "bottom up." It all comes across as unhinged to be honest.

If one studies successful separatist movements, it absolutely never ever comes from the bottom up. It's always a top down thing. The intelligensia in Russia, the petite bourgeoisie in France, the economic elite in the US, the cultural elite and business in the former Yugoslavia, etc.

Plus, as ever Slav will tell you after a few drinks, Canadians are wimps. Including Albertans. They just don't have the stomach for what it takes.

You really ought to read about the record of Canadian soldiers during First and Second World Wars.

Our martial ancestors had fearsome reputations (sometimes to the point of committing war crimes, I'm afraid).

For me, every Canadian is addicted to their smartphones and algorithms reprogram everyone's brains. Good times.

Great podcast. There is a lot more to this story I bet. Well done JG.

They just turned what was supposed to be a "sovereignty movement" into a provincial security threat.

Wow, quite the story and I'm glad I heard it from you first, Jen. I know you are being interviewed all over the place and I can save myself some agony by NOT tuning into all of them (one in particular - too painful). This truly is a mess and heads should roll. Thanks again.

This was thrilling and infuriating.

Saw you Jen! You are great! Thank you for that!! You are right, they are all trying to cover it up. My house would be surrounded by RCMP Swat team if I released Danielle Smith home address, cell phone number, email address and posted it for public viewing.

Congratulations on a job well done.

Wouldn't it be something if the petition for referendum got dropped because of this.

And thank you so much, Jen for exposing this shocking/not shocking affair.

Funny how the usual suspects have nothing to say on this subject…ah, I see some of them have weighed in on your previous written post.

This is unbelievable!! Holy shit! Heads better roll for this! Great reporting Jen. Your moral compass is pointing the right way. You & Matt handled this like the pros you both are. What a clusterfuck.

This is a dead to rights documented example of why we are losing confidence in public institutions. I hate to say it but someone should be fired, even though that won’t fix this.
