Dispatch from the Front Lines: Every politician needs someone willing to call an abort
Poilievre drops in on the weirdos. Trudeau hits the podcast circuit. And a moment offering some real unity in our ... nah, nevermind, won't happen.
Hello, Line readers! First of all, as some of you have noticed, we have announced our next in-person event. That’s coming up on June 6th, in Edmonton. It’ll be a great chat with Matt and Jen and some of our friends, and we’re hugely grateful to the Max Bell School of Public Policy for helping us organize it, and to CLAC for stepping up to sponsor it. Find out much more about the event and buy your tickets here. We’re excited to see you all in Edmonton.
And because a bunch of you are asking, we don’t have any events planned after this one at this time, but we’re already looking at opportunities to return to Toronto and have our first Line events in Ottawa, Vancouver and Montreal. It takes quite a while to organize these and we won’t do them over the summer — we desperately need our summers — but stay tuned to find out more as we get closer to the fall, when we hope to have our show back on the road. Smaller cities are definitely an option, too, but we’ll need to figure out sponsorships and the like ahead of time for those, since we may not be able to fill up big venues like we can in larger cities. If you want The Line to visit your town, and you have some thoughts on who might be willing to step up to sponsor it to cover our costs, drop us a line: lineeditor@protonmail.com.
And now, back to business. Starting with our latest episode of The Line Podcast.
The audio version is here, and there’s lots of links there, as well, to find a streaming app of your choice.
