I am almost positive that people 3 provinces over heard me screaming "YES YES YES" to so many of these points. It is absolutely disingenuous for ANY conservative party apparatchik or leader to pretend that they don't know how their party got here. It is so hypocritical for them to sit there and whine and cry about how they just don't know how martha and henry went nuts when they have been helping them along with winks and nudges for AGES. I remember the Barbaric Practices tip line and so many other ridiculous slogans (Old stock Canadians anyone?) that came from the feds never mind the provincial conservatives. Those of us who don't drink the conservative kool aid watched as the PCs joined hands with people like Kenney to form the UCP just so they could get in power again. Being in power was more important to them than being good for Alberta. They knew who they were getting in bed with - they just didn't care. They knew that these were the people who were giving out winks and nudges to homophobes, bigots and science deniers. They didn't care. Boessenkool can pretend to be shocked all he wants but he isn't fooling anyone but himself.
