It's interesting to me that when Homo sapiens discuss 'intelligent,' extra-terrestrial life visiting the Earth, what's presumed is 'little grey men' much like ourselves, but freaks, like we see in B and toy-marketing movies, and read in pulp fiction. Indeed, even the notion of 'little grey men' presupposes human-like sexual dimorphism.
Even on our own planet, life is almost infinitely varied. Doubtless, extra-terrestrial life would be infinitely varied. I suspect if real, intelligent, extra-terrestrial life visited earth, we'd never realize it or recognize it.
Well that was fun! But really what are they hiding about the existence of the Alaskan Hairy Man or BC Sasquatch or the existence of Elvis at the route 66 comfort inn? Of course any Star Trek fan can explain first contact.....
Phew, for a second there I thought you were going to start talking about Roswell. Didn't Elon Musk say something like, "If there were aliens out there, I'd know it". Good enough for me.
